Sunset

Good evening, I've spent the day completing my latest art work and want to share it with you here

This is a sunset using Colin Bradley's website as inspiration.
I have used Faber Castell pastel pencils and the techniques used were multiple color blending. The dark shadows at the bottom of the picture consists of red blue and black in order to obtain the depth needed.
There is only 6 colors used throughout the whole piece of art.

Thanks for stopping by and if you like what you see please let me know in the comments.

Polperro Harbour UK

This is my first Pastel Pencil artwork, inspired by Colin Bradley, a fantastic UK artist and tutor. Colin's details are listed in the column to the right in my blog. It took around 10 hours to complete and I have received many positive comments.

I used Faber-Castell PITT pastel pencils on Fabriano Sahara pastel paper with 17 colors. The painting  is not intended to be a photographic image, but to represent the feel of the scene in Polperro in the South East of Cornwall UK.

A doorway in Summer

Welcome to my second post! Happy New Year y'all!

Today I'm showcasing a watercolor that I did a couple of years ago of the deck door that leads in to our house. It is now hung directly opposite the door.

I started by taking a photo of the door which as you can see from the flowers was during summer. I used trace down to start the outline of the items on the page and added in detail to these as I painted.
The actual door was originally white but since painting this we have repainted it blue the match my art work.

Thanks for looking in.
